Infrastructures and contributions to the science community at large
(Risto Renkonen Research Group)

R. Renkonen is chairman of GGS (Glycoscience Graduate School) and also a Principal investigator in HBGS (Helsinki Biomedical Graduate School).

R. Renkonen is a founding member of the Meilahti Mass Spectrometry Center (MMS), which will obtain a new high resolution mass spectrometry in 2009 with the grant from the Rector of University of Helsinki.

This group has been invited to join the large international consortium, Functional Glycomics Gateway, funded by the National Institute of General Medical Science, CA; USA, where we provide expertise in glyco-related genes and mass spectrometry analyses with special reference to post translational modifications.
