Saksela laboratory belongs to the Infection Biology Program, which is one of the six research programs nominated by the Faculty of Medicine for the years 2007-2011 based on an evaluation by international experts, and is also one of the 28 laboratories in Helsinki University selected as members of Biocentrum Helsinki (for the years 2007-2010).

FiDiPro program visiting professor Matija Peterlin and his University of Helsinki team (postdocs Matjaz Barboric and Tina Lenasi and graduate student Kristina Zumer) working on transcriptional regulation in immune diseases.
