Doctoral Training Programme

The Faculty of Medicine offers the scientific postgraduate degrees of Doctor of Medical Science, Doctor of Dental Science and Doctor of Philosophy. The degrees consists of studies and doctoral dissertation work. The studies aim to familiarise postgraduate students with the general problems and methods used in scientific and medical research.

Much of Haartman's research is performed by doctoral students as part of their dissertation work. Some of the training occurs through a doctoral programme, especially at the Helsinki Biomedical Graduate School.
